It follows from the publication that the organization of the summit will take place within the framework of the “Friends of Peace” association – this is how Beijing and Brazil called the countries that joined their “peace initiative” at the UN.

“Negotiations about the place of the peace summit are ongoing. In addition to Hungary, China and Brazil, France and Switzerland will take part in it,” says Köppel.

In his publication, Roger Köppel systematically defends Putin, and previously he was a guest of the German-language editorial office of the Russian propaganda broadcaster RT more than once, until it was closed.

In 2023, Köppel traveled to Russia, where he had a complimentary interview with propagandist Solovyov and children’s rights commissioner Lvova-Belova, who, along with Putin, is wanted by the International Criminal Court for war crimes.

It will be recalled that earlier Hungary and Switzerland declared their support for the Sino-Brazilian “peace initiative”.

This initiative, announced in May 2024, is a set of six points that do not once mention the UN Charter or the territorial integrity of Ukraine. Instead, there is a call for “stopping hostilities, not aggravating the conflict and not spreading it to new territories.”

We will also remind you that within the framework of the self-proclaimed “peace mission”, the Prime Minister of Hungary went to Moscow and chatted with Vladimir Putin, causing sharp indignation in the EU.

At the beginning of September, he announced new “peacemaking” steps.
