“Kyiv is no longer sitting securely enough in the saddle to afford this. If they remain aggressive and hostile, they will lose. We will eventually get angry and fight back,” he said.

According to the Prime Minister of Hungary, “the way the people of Kyiv are trying to control and shape relations with Central European countries today is unacceptable.”

Coincidentally, Orbán said that he opposes Ukraine’s rapid membership in the European Union – because it would ruin the Hungarian economy – and NATO, because it would lead to a war between the Alliance and Russia.

Hungary and Slovakia have recently made a number of anti-Ukrainian statements related to the termination of the contract on the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine.

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico harshly criticized Ukraine as an unreliable partner and said he was fed up with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy traveling around Europe “begging” and “blackmailing others”.

And Hungary has hinted that it will close Ukraine’s path to the EU by stopping the transit of energy resources.
