“Denmark allocates to Ukraine an additional 2 billion Danish crowns. The money will go, among other things, to ammunition for Ukrainian soldiers and the development of Ukrainian forces the size of a brigade together with the countries of North Europe and the Baltic States,” said Denmark Prime Minister Matte Fredericksen.
Estonia Prime Minister Kristen Michal said during a visit to Kiev that this project of the northern states envisages military training and equipment of the unit with all the necessary equipment and ammunition. The specific steps in this direction will be negotiated in the next time.
Michal added that it is time to do “more and faster”.
“Estonia keeps the word and will increase military assistance for Ukraine this year for another quarter, purchasing an additional 10,000 shells for 25 million euros. To this the promised assistance from Estonia for 100 million euros will be added earlier,” he said.
Denmark has announced a new package of assistance to Ukraine for nearly 270 million euros on the third anniversary of a full -scale war, and the contribution to the preparation of the brigade is included in these funds.
Sweden has announced plans to transfer to Ukraine a 9.2 billion Swedish Crops (about $ 113 million).
