“According to the results of consideration of the application, a decision was made in accordance with Article 214 of the CPC of Ukraine on the entry of information in the Unified Register NABU’s official answer.
Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine provides that abuse of power or office, if it has caused grave consequences, is punishable for officials of imprisonment for a term of three to six years with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years , with a fine of five hundred to one thousand non -taxable minimum incomes of citizens.
At the same time, NABU reminds of the presumption of innocence of Umerov.
“Pursuant to part one of Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered to be innocent in the commission of a crime and cannot be criminal punishment until his guilt is proved legally and established by the conviction of the court,” the letter stated.
The Center for Combating Corruption declared an appeal to NABU with a statement against Umerov’s Minister because he, contrary to the decision of the Supervisory Board, refused to continue his contract with the head of the defense procurement agency Marina Bezruk, and withdrew from the Taras Agency Supervisory Chmuta and Yuri Jigir – who voted for continuing the contract with Bezruk.
Instead, Umerov appointed the director of AOP of the current head of the state operator of the rear Arsen Zhumadilov. A number of public activists have named the Minister of Defense of Pressure at the Defense Procurement Agency and urged Zelensky to release him.
On January 27, Radio Svoboda said that the contracting of ammunition and supply through the defense procurement agency could be blocked due to a legal conflict that arose in connection with the decision of the Minister of Defense through the Defense Columnic.
