The president of the country is expecting a public opinion, organized from abroad, organization of paid protests, as well as sabotage voting in the diaspora on a campaign for misinformation and manipulation of public opinion.
Sandu also warned potential cyberattacks for digital infrastructure related to election, as well as other critical infrastructure.
Moldova is expected to use the church in the interests of a foreign country, involve “thought leaders” and online influenzers as intermediaries to spread messages against the country’s European course.
“It should not scare us, it should mobilize us. Russia’s interference carries serious risks to public order and national security, and most importantly, it can dramatically undermine the sovereignty of the country and our European future,” Sandu said.
Moldova President assured that government agencies know what to do.
“In the near future, they must act more coordinated, professionally and the only team to protect national interests. Ahead is a difficult period, expensive citizens. But our future depends only on us,” she added.
