The United States does not have the data that the pause in exchange of intelligence directly affected Russian attacks, according to the US official and administration official.
Two officials have expressed optimism that the supply of weapons, equipment and intelligence exchanges can be restored next week, especially after Zelensky said that Ukraine is “ready to sit at the negotiating table as soon as possible.”
Officials have noted that the United States still provides Ukraine with defense intelligence – that is, information that helps Ukraine defend themselves from attacks but do not provide coordinates for strikes for Russian purposes.
