Lithuanian President suggested Europe support plan of Ukraine

Lithuanian President Hitanas Nauseda offers the European states his plan of action to support Ukraine and strengthen the security of the continent.

Details: Nauseda stressed that European states “should act now to support Ukraine and strengthen Europe’s security.” He proposed his plan of such actions, including:

• Real security guarantees for Ukraine – “NATO membership should remain on the negotiation table.”
• Russia should be held accountable for war crimes, and sanctions should remain until the termination of aggression.
• Urgent arms financing and € 10 billion for the Ukrainian defense industry.
• The arrest of frozen assets of Russia and the introduction of tariffs for Russian/Belarusian imports.
• Accelerated introduction to the EU is the target date by 2030.

“Ukraine’s security is part of European security. Let’s do together,” Lithuania summed up.

His post appeared against the backdrop of Paris on Wednesday, February 19, the second summit online, where Ukraine and European security should discuss.

Macron initiated this meeting after a special US Presidential Messenger to Russia and Ukraine, Kit Kelloggi said that the states did not see Europe at the table of negotiations on the termination of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
