Lithuania handed over a new aid package to Ukraine, which included Lithuanian-made drones, the country’s Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

It is noted that Lithuanian trucks with military aid have already arrived in Ukraine.

“Continuing to strengthen Ukraine’s military capabilities, we have delivered thousands of drones from Lithuanian manufacturers, as well as thermal imagers and five-ton telescopic loaders,” the agency reported.

The Minister of National Defense of Lithuania, Dovile Šakaliene, noted that “it is impossible to slow down the pace of aid to Ukraine, because the security of Lithuania depends on it.”

“We cannot slow down the pace of support for Ukraine, because ensuring the security of Ukraine means ensuring our own security. We have as much time as Ukraine. We also removed bureaucratic barriers, so military aid will arrive in Ukraine faster,” she emphasized.

Earlier, the delegation from Lithuania held a meeting with the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk. He noted that he expressed gratitude for the military, humanitarian and political assistance that Lithuania has provided to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war.

On November 23, 2024, Ukraine and Lithuania signed a memorandum that provides for the financing of Ukrainian long-range drones. This is a long-term agreement, within the framework of which the first tranche of 10 million euros has already been agreed. Lithuania directs these funds to the production of Ukrainian long-range weapons, in particular the “Palyanytsia” project.
