“According to some estimates, this is an anti -record in general in the history of our country”, Said Daria Marchak.
She stressed that because of the low birth rate and mass emigration of the population of Ukraine is growing up rapidly. The average age of citizens increased from 41 to 45 years in a short period.
”We are very rapidly older as a nation, and it still looks like this trend will continue. Today, the ratio of pensioners to working people is 1: 1, and this is without taking into account those who receive social assistance.
When we reach your retirement age, this ratio will probably be much lower “, – said the Deputy Minister.
According to her, one of the main tasks of the “Demographic Demographic Demographic Demographic Strategy” should be to create opportunities for people to stay economically and physically independent as long as possible.
“We have to take care of ensuring a decent standard of living at a good age, so the pension reform is extremely relevant. We also have to develop the care economy,” Said Marchak.
