Details: The publication does not provide other details or sources of information.

In general, the material is devoted to US President Joe Biden’s permission for Ukrainian troops to strike deep into the territory of the Russian Federation with the help of American ATACMS missiles.

“This decision means a major change in the conduct of operations by Ukrainian forces, which are said to have more American missiles than Franco-British ones,” Le Figaro notes.

For reference: Storm Shadow/SCALP is a long-range Franco-British air-to-surface missile. It is designed to hit stationary targets (including, for example, bunkers), which are well protected by air defense systems. It can be used at any time of the day and under any weather conditions. The warhead of the missile weighs 450 kg. Storm Shadow can be installed on Ukrainian Soviet-made jet aircraft.

SCALP/Storm Shadow missiles, depending on the modification, can have a range of 270 to 560 km.

What preceded: Before that, the American publication The New York Times reported that Biden had for the first time allowed the Ukrainian military to use ATACMS long-range missiles to strike the territory of Russia. According to the publication’s sources, the weapons will probably be used first against Russian and North Korean troops in the Kursk region.

The publication also noted that although British and French leaders expressed support for President Volodymyr Zelenskyi’s request for long-range strikes on Russian territory, they were in no rush to allow the Ukrainians to begin using their missiles on Russian territory if Biden did not agree to allow the Ukrainians to use ATACMS.

According to the British agency Reuters, Ukraine plans to strike the territory of the Russian Federation with the help of American long-range missiles in the coming days.
