In Zaporizhzhia, 9 people were injured due to a Russian attack – Ministry of Internal Affairs

In Zaporizhzhia, as a result of an evening strike by Russian troops, nine people, including one child, were injured, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported.

“Rescuers evacuated residents of damaged multi-apartment buildings. Firefighters extinguished the fire of the car and the balcony of one of the apartments. “Emergency work was carried out to dismantle the destroyed structures at the entrance to the apartments,” the report says.

The State Emergency Service reported that one woman was unlocked from her own apartment.

Russian troops attacked Zaporizhzhia at around 11 p.m. on September 22. The head of the regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, said that buildings were partially destroyed as a result of the strike.

“Nearby houses were damaged by the blast wave and debris. A fire broke out,” he said.

To help the victims, tents have been set up at two locations, where residents of damaged buildings are turning to for support, Fedorov added.

The forces of the Russian Federation regularly attack the Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, missiles, anti-aircraft missiles, anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
