According to the decree, in car dealerships and in other places of sale of new cars must be:
- fuel consumption data and COS emissions near each machine;
- a poster or electronic display with information about all models that are for sale with fuel costs and CO emissions;
- promotional materials (brochures, advertising, etc.) with the same data;
- access to an electronic directory with official information.
The Ministry of Community and Territories will develop an electronic directory with official data on fuel costs and COS emissions for all models of new cars. The directory that will be placed on the website of the Ministry of Development will be updated every year.
“It is the protection of the consumer’s rights, support for fair competition and a step towards reducing the impact of transport on the climate,” said Minister of Economy Alexei Sobolev.
The new rules will take effect 9 months after the decision is published.
