“This is what we will definitely need to discuss with the Ukrainian authorities to see how we can change funding from international donors. Finally, one of the basic issues – when assessing Ukraine’s financial needs – is the question of how long the war will last, which will be its intensity, etc.,” he explained.
According to Dombrovskis, the EU is ready for flexibility – adjustments can also be affected by the help already planned for 2025.
“We are ready to adjust our funding, both in the context of reducing or terminating further US military assistance and in the context of progress in ceasefire or a peace agreement,” the European Commissar said.
As reported, Dombrovskis in Kiev also told how the EU will assist the budget of Ukraine by the end of 2025.
He also reported that part of 150 billion euros for “Rearmament Europe” will go to the weapon for the Armed Forces.
