The Ministry of Defense says that “on January 18, a 3M62U locomotive was destroyed at the Ruchy tram depot in St. Petersburg.”
“The fire destroyed the entire management system. The locomotive, which hauled Russian weapons, ammunition and military equipment by rail, is not subject to restoration,” the HUR stressed.
The authorities of the Russian Federation have not commented on this information of the GUR at the moment. The editorial staff of Radio Svoboda cannot independently verify this data.
Earlier, on December 15, the Security Service of Ukraine reported that the Defense Forces conducted a “multi-stage special operation” as a result of which Russian fuel tanks were destroyed. The locomotive was hit by a HIMARS MLRS of the “Tavria” OSUV.
