Details: Patrol officers learned the description of the alleged attacker from eyewitnesses, passed the information on to their colleagues and began a search.

Literally: “After promptly inspecting the surrounding areas, the patrol officers noticed a man who, according to the description, was similar to the wanted man. He tried to hide between the houses, but the partners of Svitlana Korniychuk and Dmytro Kravchuk quickly caught up with him and detained him. During a cursory inspection, the man had a revolver with a Flaubert cartridge.

Investigators are currently dealing with the detainee. All the circumstances of the event are being established.”

Details: Investigators have started criminal proceedings under ch. 1 Art. 115 (Intentional murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to 15 years.
