In Kyiv, a person suspected of voluntarily leaving a party attacked an employee of the State Bureau of Investigation with a knife and injured him, the man was detained by the police.

Details: Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation conducted investigations at the place of residence of a 28-year-old man from Kyiv. While communicating with the law enforcement officers, the intruder grabbed a kitchen knife and suddenly attacked the SBI investigator, stabbing him and running away. Subsequently, police officers, with the involvement of KORD special forces, detained the attacker.

Details: According to UP, this incident happened a few days ago. Investigators of the Obolon police department, under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv specialized prosecutor’s office in the field of defense of the Central region, informed the suspect of suspicion under Art. 348 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – attempted murder of an employee of a law enforcement agency in connection with the employee’s performance of official duties.

The court took the man into custody without bail, he faces up to fifteen years in prison or life imprisonment.
