Details: According to the investigation, the young man specially came from Cherkasy to the capital to set fire to military vehicles and “earn” the promised $1,000.

His first target was a car purchased by journalists of an online publication and planned to hand over to a military brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the near future. At night in the Podilsky district, he poured flammable liquid on a car and set it on fire, filming the crime for a report.
The police detained the guy. He was charged with suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces and other military formations during a special period. He faces up to 8 years in prison.
