In Kharkiv, the body of a woman in a high-rise building that was hit by an aerial bomb was unblocked – the prosecutor’s office

In Kharkiv, rescuers pulled out the body of an elderly woman from under the rubble of a high-rise building, which was hit by Russian forces on September 15, the mayor of the city, Igor Terekhov, said.

“So we have one dead person and 42 wounded. The fire was extinguished. All relevant services and volunteers are working on the spot,” the official said.

The local prosecutor’s office clarified that in Kharkiv rescuers unblocked the body of a deceased person on the 9th floor of a multi-story building.

“Rescuers unblocked the dead person’s body on the 9th floor of the building. Identification is currently impossible: the body is almost completely burned. A DNA examination will be ordered,” the regional prosecutor’s office reports.

The department assumes that this is the body of a 94-year-old woman who was considered missing after an aerial bomb hit the house.

The Russian military carried out another attack on Kharkiv on September 15.

“One entrance to the house was destroyed. Fire on the 9th floor. At least 1,500 windows were damaged. Dozens of damaged cars. Three people are in serious condition. 30 wounded in total,” Sinegubov said.

Earlier, it was known about more than 40 victims as a result of the attack on the city.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions, in particular, the Kharkiv region, using various types of weapons – attack UAVs, missiles, anti-aircraft missiles, anti-aircraft missiles. Despite the evidence and testimony, Moscow has denied targeted attacks on civilians since the start of the full-scale invasion.
