In Greece deny intentions to help Ukraine with Patriot systems

Greece does not plan to transfer the Patriot anti-aircraft missile complex to Ukraine, although it has been mentioned in the media as one of the countries with which such negotiations are allegedly underway.

According to “European Truth”, a representative of the Greek government said this Reuters.

On the eve of The New York Times in his post statedthat Ukraine can receive two additional Patrio systems in the coming weeks, and Greece may be a supplier of one of them.

But the official Athens rejected the involvement in such negotiations.

“There is no Patriot system from supplying Ukraine from Greece,” the Greek Government representative told Reuters.

Since 2022, Greece has provided missiles, infantry combat vehicles, fugas shells, ammunition and anti -tank missiles. But the issue of defense for her is of particular importance because of tense relations with Turkey.

Recently President Volodymyr Zelenskyy suggested that Ukraine will receive the required number of systems air defense as a result of the Mining Agreement with the United States.

The Ukrainian side has repeatedly asked the United States to provide it with aircraft system, and the Trump administration suggested Buy installations with the help of European countries.
