Imports of the car collapsed to a minimum since May 2022

In January, the supply of liquefied gas from abroad to Ukraine was 46.3 thousand tons, which is the least indicator since May 2022.

About it reports ENKORR sectoral edition with reference to the data of the consulting group “A-95”.

Compared to December 2024, shipment decreased by 35%, for the same period last year – by 9%.

“Low January imports are partly due to the accumulation of the resource in December before increasing excise rates on the product since the beginning of 2025,” the experts explained.

The leaders in the supply of fuel remain “BRSM-Nafta”, which last month imported 8.1 thousand tons of gas, which is 22% less than in December.

The company focused its supply in Romania, namely from the Interport Gaz terminal, from where it has shipped 7.7 thousand tons of resource. The rest was brought by gas sets from the GNS Bialchem Group (Poland).

Of the largest importers, the most reduced supply “Gazron Ukraine” and the Bars Group: 90% and 72%, up to 0.3 thousand tons and 0.48 thousand tons, respectively. She also completely abandoned the import of Ville Forte, which in December brought 6.34 thousand tons of gas in the Danube.

It is noted that due to the preservation of high gas prices in the West, more importers are reorienting their supply south, the share of which in January was a record 70%in January.

At the same time, the purchases in Poland have decreased to the smallest rate since April 2022 – 6.4 thousand tons. Car supply decreased by 53%, to 3.7 thousand tons, railway – by 45%, up to 2.7 thousand tons.

Imports of the resource from the Baltic countries have decreased: from Lithuania – 2.3 times, up to 5.9 thousand tons, from Latvia – 3.8 times, up to 0.6 thousand tons.

Recall:

In early 2025 happened Several stages of rising fuel prices at Ukrainian gas stations Due to the increase in excise duty from January 1.
