Details: It is noted that among Ukrainians (both men and women aged 18+ years of age who are not in military service), 54% answer that they are more or uniquely ready to join the defense forces and weapons in their hands to defend Ukraine. Of these, 23% are definitely ready, and another 31% are ready.

Rather, they are not ready – 15%, unambiguously not ready – 23%of respondents (that is, a total of 38%are not ready, although only part of them categorically rejects such readiness).
For comparison with other countries – according to Gallup (2023), for example, in Poland, 45%are ready to fight for their country, 41%, in Germany – 23%, the United Kingdom – 33%, in total EU countries – 32%(although not all countries were interviewed) (for the same period).
At the same time, it should be borne in mind that for Ukrainians this question is not hypothetical and abstract, but is quite real, that is, Ukrainians can expect more close to the real behavior of the answer, according to the release.
Regarding the incision of sex and age. As you can see, among men under 60, most (60-64%) are ready to join the defense forces when needed.
It is important to emphasize that among Ukrainian women, a large part is ready to defend Ukraine in case of need, sociologists summarize.
Reference: During September 2-14, 2025, the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology conducted an all-Ukrainian Omnibus All-Ukrainian Public Opinion, to which, on its own initiative, questions concerning war and peace.
