They emphasize that the atmosphere in the oval office during this conversation “reminded us of the one we remember well from interrogations in the Security Service and from the meetings in the communist courts.”

“Prosecutors and judges who worked on behalf of the Almighty Communist Party Police also told us that they had all the trumps, and we had no one,” they said.

The authors of the letter expressed “shock” that Trump and his team members also treated Zelen.

They also emphasized that they consider the expectations of gratitude for financial assistance provided by the United States of Ukraine, which fights the Russian invasion.

According to the signatories of the letter, gratitude should be expressed to Ukrainian soldiers “who spill their blood, protecting the values of the free world.”

“They have been killed on the front for over 11 years in the name of these values and independence of their homeland, which Putin Russia attacked. We do not understand how the leader of the country that is a symbol of the free world may not see it.” – The authors of the letter turn to Trump.

They also reminded Trump about the US obligations under the 1994 Budapest Memorandum, which provided security guarantees for Ukraine in exchange for the return of nuclear weapons of Soviet times.

“These guarantees are unconditional: there is no word about considering such assistance as economic exchange,” the letter was added.

We will remind, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy left the White House ahead of time on Friday, February 28, after a quarrel with Donald Trump and Vice -President Jay Di Vance.

In response, Donald Trump stated that the Ukrainian president “despaired” the United States, and that Volodymyr Zelenskyy was “not ready for peace.”
