Details: According to the text of the Presidential Decree, Svetlana Zalishchuk was appointed “Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Sweden.”

Svetlana Zalishchuk worked as a journalist earlier, in 2014-2019 she was a People’s Deputy. Prior to his appointment, she was a freelance adviser at the Viceremier’s office on European and Euro -Atlantic integration.
Recall:
- The predecessor of Zalishchuk – Andriy Plahotniuk – was appointed a new ambassador to Canada within the rotation of the ambassadors.
- Plahotniuk worked as an ambassador to Sweden from the fall of 2020.
Reference: Svetlana Zalishchuk in 2014 was elected People’s Deputy from the BPP. She was a member of the Euro -Optimist inter -factional association.
In February 2019, together with the people’s deputies Mustafa Nayemia and Sergey Leshchenko, she declared withdrawal from the BPP.
She ran for the 2019 parliamentary elections as a self -nominated district in the district # 199 in Cherkasy region, but did not go to the Verkhovna Rada.
