Details: On Wednesday, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland – Andriy Sibiga, Kiastutis Budris and Radoslav Sikorsky – met in Lublin on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the creation of the format of the Lublin Triangle and to discuss further cooperation.

During the meeting, the parties expressed their willingness to promote the next meeting of the Presidents of Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland in Kiev, as well as agreed to hold another meeting of foreign ministers by the end of 2025 in Lithuania. According to “Euro truth”, if the meeting of three presidents is held in Kiev, then the new President Karol Navrotsky, who will join the post in early August, will probably participate in it from Poland.
The ministers emphasized the importance of strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation in the fields of common historical heritage and historical memory.
They also supported the need for further action in combating hybrid threats, in particular in the field of cybersecurity, energy security and counteraction to the use of energy as a tool of geopolitical pressure and blackmail, as well as in solving the problem of the Russian “shadowy fleet”.
At the meeting of the diplomats of the countries confirmed the adamant support of Ukraine on its path to membership in the European Union, recognized by Ukraine reforms and stated that they consider the EU enlargement on the basis of merits as a geostrategic investment in peace, security, stability and prosperity of Europe.
They also confirmed the further support of Ukraine on its path to NATO membership as an integral part of the continent’s security architecture.
Separately, the ministers emphasized the importance of preserving political, military, financial and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, as well as confirmed their readiness to participate in the restoration and reconstruction of Ukraine.
In addition, the parties congratulated the creation of a special tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine.
Prehistory:
- The Lublin Triangle was founded as a format of tripartite cooperation between Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine to deepen regional cooperation in the security, economic and social and humanitarian spheres.
