Details: The meeting of the parliamentary committee was called by the opposition, which demanded from Fico an explanation about his meeting with the Russian ruler Vladimir Putin in Moscow, as well as information about Slovakia’s next steps in connection with the termination of the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine.

Fico said that on the issue of gas transit from Ukraine to the territory of Slovakia, two solutions were prepared, which were allegedly agreed upon by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

One of them should have been an agreement between Russia and Azerbaijan, so that Azerbaijani gas would flow to Slovakia. But, according to Fitso, Zelensky broke this agreement. The second option was a proposal to the parent company SPP to create a subsidiary on the Russian-Ukrainian border so that Slovak gas would be transported to Slovakia via Ukraine.

Fico called the president of Ukraine unreliable and said that sometimes he is “fed up with him.”

Instead, he stated that Russia has always been a reliable partner when it comes to energy supplies.

“Russia has never deceived us, unlike Ukraine. I remember the situation in 2009, when I was in Ukraine, when I asked the Ukrainian Prime Minister Tymoshenko to give us from the tanks they have in the western part of Ukraine, a little gas, I got the answer that I was sent to hell. These are typical Ukrainians,” Fitso complained.

What preceded: Previously, “EP” wrote in detail about the fact that Fitso became anti-Ukrainian because of an insult to Yulia Tymoshenko.

Meanwhile, Slovak President Peter Pellegrini said that he refuses to go on an official visit to Kyiv due to the fact that Ukraine stopped the transit of Russian gas.

In addition, in connection with the stoppage of gas transit, Fico announced a list of threats to Kyiv, including the use of a veto on EU decisions regarding Ukraine.
