According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Stubb will hold important talks with President Vladimir Zelensky on European security and integration, transatlantic pressure on Russia and steps on the way to a long peace.
“We are grateful to Finland for its constant support, OSCE leadership and a fundamental position. We appreciate the personal effort and devotion of President Stubba”- the minister commented.
The Finnish President noted that Stubb will discuss the current situation in Ukraine in Kyiv, efforts to end the illegal invading war of Russia and support Ukraine by Finland. There reminded that Finland is working within “Coalitions decisive” and participates in the preparation of safety measures that are now being developed.
Alexander Stubb is personally actively involved in the contacts of European leaders with US President Donald Trump on the settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian war. In particular, he was among those who visited Washington with Vladimir Zelensky On August 18, after Trump met Alaska with the Kremlin master Vladimir Putin.
