From March 16 to April 16, an exhibition titled ‘Into the Light’ will be held at the ‘Sense’ bookstore in Kyiv, featuring the work of photographers Kostiantyn and Vlada Liberov. This exhibition focuses on the challenges faced during one of the most difficult winters in Ukraine, marked by ongoing conflict and energy infrastructure attacks.
The project aims to shed light on the resilience of individuals who continue to work under fire, restoring cities and bringing light back to homes across the country. According to DTEK, the exhibition represents a collective experience of enduring hardship, illustrating the efforts of those who have kept essential services operational despite severe conditions.
Winter 2026 is noted as one of the toughest in recent decades for Ukraine, with numerous homes lacking electricity, heating, and water due to Russian bombardments and extreme weather. Small and medium-sized businesses faced significant challenges, struggling to adapt to the new reality.
The exhibition ‘Into the Light’ will take place at the ‘Sense’ bookstore located at 34 Khreshchatyk Street. Visitors will also have the opportunity to purchase a photo book that accompanies the exhibition.
