Details: According to the investigation, 55-year-old and 65-year-old residents of Chernivtsi region are involved in the organization of the scheme. They were assisted by a lawyer from Lviv, who searched the servicemen for cash and inclined them to escape from service. The scheme also involved a resident of Ternopil and five other people who accompanied clients to the border with Romania and Moldova, bypassing official checkpoints.

The cost of “services” ranged from $ 3 to 6 thousand for the organization of escape from part and up to $ 15,000 – for crossing the state border. The attackers promised the military full cover and even offered assistance in official dismissal, assuring their commands with command.

According to the prosecutor’s office, at least 25 people have already used the scheme. The 48 searches seized more than 160 thousand hryvnias, $ 21 thousand, 2 thousand euros, 12 cars, 17 weapons, mobile phones and rough records.

Law enforcement officers told them about suspicion of illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine and obstruction of the legitimate activity of the Armed Forces (Part 3 of Article 332, Article 114 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). All those involved are threatened with up to 9 years in prison with confiscation of property. The investigation is currently checking the possible involvement in the crime of others.
