Details: On April 16, on behalf of the head of the SAP, the prosecutor with the participation of NABU detectives announced a new suspicion of Smirnov.

The said person is already prosecuted by anti -corruption for criminal liability for illegal enrichment in the amount of UAH 15.7 million.
According to the investigation, the suspect in the period 2019-2021 illegally acquired cash, which he decided to legalize by building private homes with a total area of more than 300 square meters. m in the recreational zone of Odesa region. To mask such actions, he appealed to the beneficiary of the company, which owned the land on the seashore, and transferred almost UAH 6.5 million for the construction of objects. The finished property, which was actually used by the Top Office, was initially issued to the company, and after notified to him the suspicion in May 2024 was reissued for a trustee.
In 2022, the owner of the construction company appealed to the Topsododovtsi with a proposal to provide a bribe in the form of works and services worth $ 100 thousand. US to erect one of the mentioned homes on the coast. For this he asked to assist the adoption by the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine to cancel the results of the tender, in which the competitor won, and in the new tender – to ensure the victory of his company. The Top Office has made a proposal, used the official position and fulfilled the obligation. The AMCU later made a “necessary” decision.
Therefore, now the former Deputy Yermak has been charged with an undue benefit of $ 100,000. US and legalization of illegally acquired funds, that is, committing crimes under Part 1 of Art. 368-5, h. 1, 2 tbsp. 209 and Part 4 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The owner of the construction company was notified of suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The pre -trial investigation in the case is ongoing, other persons are likely to be involved in the crime.
Prehistory:
- In February 2023, the UP journalists found out that in 2022, the brother at that time, the deputy head of the Presidential Office Andriy Smirnov, Igor purchased property, including an apartment and a land plot in the Carpathians at a price, much lower than the market total amount of a quarter of a million dollars. It was reported that the brothers could not give an unambiguous answer where the money came from, and why prices were low. On March 29, President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed the deputy head of the President of Andriy Ermak Andriy Smirnov.
- In May 2024, the former deputy head of the Presidential Office Andriy Smirnov was informed of suspicion of illegal enrichment.
- Smirnov in a comment to “Ukrainian Pravda” noted that the delivery of suspicion and search was “quickly and delicately”.
- NABU and SAP reported that in the period from 2020 to 2022 the official gained assets worth UAH 17.1 million, with savings and official income for this period in the amount of more than UAH 1.3 million. Thus, the difference between the value of the acquired property and the officials of the official was UAH 15.7 million.
- The court chose a measure of restraint in the form of 10 million hryvnias for Smirnov. The pledge was made on May 29.
