“Last Friday’s blow (December 13 – ed.) was the 12th blow inflicted by Russia on our energy infrastructure in 2024 alone. For these strikes, Russia used about 1,100 missiles, both cruise and ballistic. I emphasize, this is the number of rockets fired only at energy facilities,” Kysylytsia said.
The Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN also added that “terrorists continue to use ammunition containing toxic chemicals. Only since February 2023, 4.95 thousand relevant cases have been recorded, due to which more than two thousand Ukrainian soldiers suffered.”

Earlier, on December 13, the company “Ukrenergo” reported a massive missile attack on energy facilities. As the press service of the company reports, due to the attack, the scope of consumption restriction measures has been increased today.
The day before, Ukrenergo said that “thanks to large-scale restoration work, energy workers are gradually improving the situation in the power system after the massive attack on November 28.”
In the Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, and Volhynia regions of Ukraine, the power outage schedules for December 12 have been canceled. They did not operate on December 10 and 11 either.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that as a result of the Russian attack on November 28, there were 12 hits, mostly at the facilities of the fuel and energy sector.
According to the Ministry of Energy, since October 2022, Russia has carried out more than a thousand strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities, this year alone 9 GW of generating capacity was lost due to strikes.
