Temporarily and preventively stopped the operation of two key terminals near Novorossiysk: Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) and Schesshary’s oil depot. The CPC has confirmed that such stops are familiar during air anxiety. The sources reported that Schesshary also stopped work.
Sirens were heard on Wednesday, and the authorities warned the possible attacks of drones and unmanned boats. The CPC office at the port suffered damage.
Together, these two terminals export more than 2 million barrels of oil a day from Russia and Kazakhstan – an important part of the world oil supply chain, which in total provides about 40 million barrels per day.
From August, Ukraine has significantly intensified the blows of Russian oil refineries and port facilities. This has already forced the Kremlin to ban gasoline export and consider restrictions on the supply of diesel.
