MPs recalled that in March 2022 they initiated changes to the legislation, which envisaged the introduction of combat immunity during martial law.

Therefore, the committee expressed the position according to which:
- He sees in the decisions made “signs of selective application of the rules of law, as evidenced by the separation of certain events and certain persons against the background of the absence of proper and timely legal assessment of other events and actions
- The use of “excessively harsh preventive measures” against current servicemen of the Armed Forces and participants of hostilities is disproportionate and could be based on arbitrary interpretation of the legislation; “The demonstrative zarling
- emphasizes the need to avoid officials or comments that may influence the formation of a “false impression on the investigated events, a premature idea of the blame of servicemen whose actions have not yet received a proper legal assessment of the court”; The Committee believes that any speculation on this topic can contribute to Russia’s efforts to undermine the mutual trust of society and the armed forces
“The Committee will continue to monitor the situation of criminal prosecution of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other representatives of security and defense forces,” the parliamentarians added.
Committee members plan to hear the information of the “profile bodies” at the next meeting.
