According to the released today, there are many seriously ill, seriously wounded and those who spent more than two and a half years in Russian captivity.
“In total, 4 131 persons have already been returned from Russian captivity thanks to the work of the staff on behalf of the President of Ukraine: both servicemen and civilians, as well as foreign citizens,” the statement reads.
The headquarters specified that 108 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were released during the last exchange (from territorial defense-seven, 26 military-naval forces, three from the Air Force). 22 National Guards, 19 border guards and one representative of the National Police were also released.

According to the headquarters, the former captives participated in hostilities in different regions of Ukraine and in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. Among them are the defenders of Mariupol and the National Guards who guarded the Chernobyl NPP. Among the released are 47 sergeants, 69 soldiers, 16 sailors and 18 officers.
“Ukrainian servicemen will receive proper treatment, rehabilitation and reintegration assistance to society, as well as payments to the money they had to receive during the captivity and one -time financial assistance,” the staff adds.
The department also thanked the United Arab Emirates for their assistance in the exchange.
Earlier today, Ukraine returned 150 Ukrainian defenders from Russian captivity.
