Details: NABU added that the grounds for searches “in the vast majority of cases” are called the participation of individuals in road accidents.

NABU also noted that the SBU has initiated an unscheduled inspection of the state of protection of state secrets.

According to the results of this audit, the SBU may obtain information about the continued and planned NABU and SAP prompt measures and investigative actions. It is also noted that the planned inspection of the State Security Service in the context of NABU technical infrastructure is ongoing.
They also added that the NABU director is on a business trip in the UK, where he planned to meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, but made the decision to immediately interrupt the visit and return to Ukraine.
In terms of searches and, in particular, the use of force to the NABU employee, the bureau will conduct an internal check to clarify the circumstances and legal grounds for investigative actions.
“It should be noted that the risk of the presence of agents of influence of the aggressor country remains relevant to any authority. However, this cannot be the basis for stopping the entire institution,” NABU summed up.
