Prosecutors proved in court that in 2022, a 50-year-old man from Kyiv defected to the Russian special services and collected military data for the enemy.
In order to carry out an enemy mission, he got a job at one of the capital’s factories, which fulfilled state defense orders, the SBU says.
The suspect forwarded the received intelligence via messenger to the Russian curator, who then “reported” to the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
Also, during the defense of Kyiv region, the traitor monitored and transmitted information about the consequences of rocket and artillery attacks, including photos from the site of the damage and data on the positions of Ukrainian troops, roadblocks and engineering fortifications.
Fedotov was exposed at the beginning of February 2023.
The man was waiting for the court verdict in custody. He pleaded not guilty in court.
