“The Ministry of Defense, the command of the Air Force and the regional authorities are analyzing the circumstances of the attack on Odesa: there were 52 Russian drones in total, and a significant part – in fact, against the central part of Odesa, next to “Pryvoz”. Most of the drones were shot down, but, unfortunately, there were also hits in the city, as well as in Odesa region,” Zelenskyy wrote after the meeting.
The president added that at the meeting there were reports on the situation in Kharkiv and the region after the shelling of the Russian anti-aircraft missile system – there was a hit on an energy facility, there is significant damage.
Russia struck another attack on Odesa region at night on January 27, the local authorities reported a dead person, and more than 20 people were injured in Odesa.
According to Zelenskyi, on the night of January 27, the Russian army struck Odesa with more than 50 drones, the main targets being energy and “ordinary civilian objects.” As a result of this impact, five residential buildings were damaged, there is significant destruction of apartments and entrances. A rescue operation is underway in the city.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.
The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.
The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
