The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, dismissed Serhiy Popka from the position of head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, appointing Timur Tkachenko in his place. The relevant decrees were published on the website of the head of state on December 31.
“According to Article 4 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Legal Regime of Martial Law”, appoint Timur Firuddinovich Tkachenko as the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration,” the document states.
Tkachenko previously worked as deputy minister for strategic industries, and before that he was the director of the territorial control department of Kyiv.
