Addition
On December 28, the Government approved the dismissal of the head of the Kyiv OVA, Ruslan Kravchenko, and the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Philip Pronin.
The mass media reported that Ruslan Kravchenko will be the new general prosecutor instead of the dismissed Andrii Kostin.
“He is a compromise figure who can be taken through parliament,” a source told Radio NV.
Another source reported that Kravchenko’s candidacy in the OP was being considered for a long time, because the candidacy of the current head of the Odesa State Administration “Oleg Kiper” will not gather votes in the parliament. At the same time, the head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU), Pavlo Kyrylenko, who, according to the source, was previously planned for this position in the OP, is now accused of illegal enrichment.
The candidacy of the next head of the Prosecutor General’s Office still has to be reviewed by the specialized law enforcement committee of the parliament.
Previously, the mass media already called Ruslan Kravchenko the main contender for this position.
People’s deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported that Kravchenko is planned to be appointed acting the head of the State Tax Service, and Pronin – the head of the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine.
