Details: Zelensky spoke immediately after bilateral talks with US President Donald Trump. He noted that before this meeting, the Ukrainian negotiating team communicated with the American one, and further contacts of the American delegation will take place in Moscow.
“The American team will go to Moscow today. They were waiting for our meeting with President Trump. Now they will go, and my team will meet with the American team, and I think this will be the first tripartite meeting in the Emirates, it will take place tomorrow and the day after,” Zelensky said.
He added that he considers it “good” to start holding such meetings at the tactical level.
“Russia should be ready for compromises. Everyone should be ready, not only Ukraine. This is important for us. We’ll see what the results will be,” the head of state added.
It will be recalled that the President of the United States, Donald Trump called a “very good” meeting with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi in Davos on Thursday.
Trump also said that at the meeting with Zelensky, they did not discuss Ukraine’s potential membership in the Peace Council he is creating – which he has not joined yet none of the traditional Western European allies USA.
