Over a year of operation of the Ukrainian export sea corridor, 70 million tons of goods have already been transported, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

“More than 2,500 ships left Ukrainian ports. The ports of Asia, Africa, Europe and America accept our Ukrainian cargo. Countries from Egypt to Indonesia, from Tunisia and Libya to India, from Algeria to China received our Ukrainian grain,” he wrote in a telegram.

According to him, thanks to the “Grain from Ukraine” humanitarian initiative, millions of people in Ethiopia, Somalia, Yemen and Sudan received the necessary food.

The export corridor was organized after Russia’s withdrawal from the Black Sea Grain Initiative in the summer of 2023. After that, Russia began to actively attack Ukrainian ports with missiles or drones, in particular the Danube ports of Reni and Izmail.
