Zelensky visited Pokrovsk, met with the defenders of the city

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, visited the Donetsk region, where he visited the location of the 25th separate brigade in the Pokrovsky direction. This was announced on November 18 on the social networks of the head of state and the website of the President’s Office.

“I want to congratulate you personally here in Pokrovsk. Intense direction. I know that only thanks to your strength the East is not completely occupied by the Russian Federation. The enemy receives a daily response from you, from your brothers. I ask you to express my great gratitude to them from me, from the entire people of Ukraine,” Zelenskyy said to the Ukrainian military who are defending Pokrovsk.

The president also inspected the construction of fortifications in Donetsk region.

“Most of what was planned has already been arranged. I thank everyone who is involved in this important work,” the head of state said.

In the daily reports of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it has been reported for several months that the Russian forces have concentrated their efforts on two directions in the west of Donetsk region – Pokrovsky and Kurakhivskyi. Usually, more than half of all combat clashes take place in these two directions during the day. The Russian military, using the tactics of small groups, is gradually approaching Kurakhovo, which is separated from Pokrovsk by a few kilometers.
