“Taking into account the need for consistently effective work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the candidacy of the new First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs will also be chosen. I am waiting for proposals for a decision,” the Ukrainian president added.
It should be noted that on the same day, Zelenskyy appointed the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Serhiy Kyslytsa, as the first deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
Zelensky noted that Kyslytsia will strengthen the diplomatic direction in the President’s Office. The head of state also explained that he is strengthening his negotiating team.
Before his appointment as the first deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in February 2025, Kyslytsia held the position of permanent representative of Ukraine to the United Nations for 5 years.
