On December 3, the Verkhovna Rada approved the draft state budget of Ukraine for 2026 in the second reading. On December 8, the document was sent to the president for signature.
According to the Minister of Finance Serhii Marchenko, state budget revenues amount to UAH 2 trillion 918 billion, including the general fund – UAH 2 trillion 625 billion, in the draft budget for the second reading, revenues have been increased, in particular, by taking into account additional revenues from increased taxation of bank profits.
Marchenko noted that state budget expenditures for 2026 amount to 4 trillion 837 billion UAH, expenditures on the security and defense sector – 2.8 trillion UAH, approximately 1.3 trillion of which will go to the salaries of defenders.
