Details: According to Law No. 4255-IX, during the martial law, the military units and units of the Armed Forces can be sent abroad to ensure national security, redemption and deterrence of armed aggression, protection of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as the exercise of the right to self-defense in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter.

It is reported that the law was finalized taking into account the proposals by the President, who clarify the procedure for making decisions on the sending of units of the Armed Forces abroad, detail the procedure for their stay outside the state and ensure compliance with the act of international law.
What was before: On January 15, the Parliament adopted the Law “On Amendments to Certain Laws on Separate Issues of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to other states during the martial law,” on January 30, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy veted and returned this law to the Verkhovna Rada with his proposals, and on February 25, the Parliament passed the law with proposals.
