Details: The President of Ukraine resorted to criticizing Europe for relying on NATO protection under the auspices of the United States, despite the fact that the Alliance has not used its military power in practice.

“Today, Europe relies only on the belief that NATO will take action in case of danger, but no one has actually seen how this alliance works. If Putin decides to seize Lithuania or strike Poland, who will react?”, the president said.
Zelensky also mentioned the recent European military mission in Greenland. He stated that the 40 soldiers who are supposed to defend the strategically important territory is a signal to Russia and China.
“Europe needs to know how to defend itself, and if you are sending 40 soldiers to Greenland, what is it for? What kind of message? What signal does this send to Putin, to China? And what is even more important, what signal does this send to Denmark?” Zelenskyy said.
The president suggested that Ukraine could help Europe with the elimination of Russian warships near Greenland.
“We know what to do if Russian warships are floating freely around Greenland. Ukraine can help, we have the experience and weapons to ensure that none of these ships remain. They can sink near Greenland, as well as near Crimea. No problem, we have the means and people,” Zelenskyy said, noting that Ukraine was not asked for this.
The president also accused Europe of inaction regarding the situation in Iran. Zelenskyi said that everyone is waiting for steps from the US regarding the Ayatollah’s regime instead of acting on their own.
“Everyone is waiting for what America will do, and the world offers nothing, Europe offers nothing and does not want to interfere in this matter…When you refuse to help people who are fighting for freedom, the consequences come back and they are always negative. Belarus in 2020 is an example that no one helped the people. Now Russian missiles are deployed in Belarus, which causes the anger of most European peoples, what would have happened if the Belarusian people won in 2020,” Zelenskyy said, adding that he had repeatedly called on European leaders to take action against the Belarusian regime.
In this speech, the President of Ukraine also called on the Europeans to stop Russian tankers shadow fleet, as the US did.
