Zelensky awarded the Golden Star Order Hero of Ukraine Senior Lieutenant Rostislav Kondrich. In March in Kharkiv and Sumy region, it was evacuated to the wounded and killed under fire. He also headed a group of border guards who reflected Russian assaults and stopped DRG promotion.
In the fall, Kondrich performed combat missions in Kurshchyna, where on October 17 he headed a group that returned the lost positions. He personally knocked down three Russian drones, destroyed machine gun calculation and, together with his brothers, repelled three enemy attacks. Despite the wound, he continued to fight and stopped the Russian offensive on the position of defense forces of Ukraine.
The head of state also presented two border guards of the Cross of Merit.
The President thanked the border guards for their service for the protection of Ukraine.
