Direct speech: “Yesterday in Warsaw, President Zelenskyi met with the Ukrainian community. Among other things, they discussed the issue of passports of the Dokument State Enterprise. In Poland alone, we are talking about more than 80,000 citizens who have been waiting for their documents for a long time.
The president decided the issue. Passports will be issued. And not only in Poland – everywhere where they are “stuck”.
Prehistory:
- In April 2024, the Ukrainian government banned the issuance of a passport of a citizen of Ukraine or a foreign passport to Ukrainian men aged 18 to 60 abroad.
- Later, the issuing of passports was resumed, but on the condition of having updated data and a military registration document.
