Details: Zelensky noted that the Constitution of Ukraine and legislation do not allow holding elections in wartime.
Zelensky’s direct speech: “And no one in the world demanded and does not demand this from Ukraine. But we, in Ukraine, have people who are perhaps so hungry for it that they want to fight within our state more than for the sake of our state. They want political disputes in the trenches, as in TV studios. This is disastrous for Ukraine.
Ukraine first needs a fair peace, and then Ukrainians will hold fair elections.”
