Zelensky explained what agreed with European leaders before meeting with Trump

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that before meeting with Donald Trump in the White House, he consulted with European leaders, during which he discussed joint steps to achieve peace and security guarantees for Ukraine.

Details: According to the President, the main goal is now “reliable and long peace” for Ukraine and all of Europe.

“It is important that the dynamics of all our meetings give exactly the result. We understand that Putin should not expect that he will give up aggression and new invasive attempts. Therefore, pressure should work, and this should be the most common pressure – the US and Europe, all in the world, who respects the right to live and international.

He added that the meeting was attended by leaders of Finland, the United Kingdom, Italy, the President of the European Commission and the NATO Secretary General. Leaders coordinated positions before meeting with President Trump, which will take place later on Monday.

“Ukraine is ready for a real truce and the establishment of a new security architecture. We need peace,” Zelensky summed up.

Recall:

• Earlier on Monday, Zelensky held a meeting with Trump Special Representative Kellog in Washington.
• It should be noted that at the meeting of the US and Ukraine leaders in the oval office there will be five representatives of the American side, except Trump himself, and with Zelensky there will be two top officials.
