Zelensky also urged to join the Purl initiative, which provides for the purchase of US weapons in Europe and to the aspired approval of the 19th Package of Anti-Russian Sanctions, part of which is the ban on the import of Russian energy to the EU, mentioning separately in this context “Guys from Hungary.”
“The pressure on Russian oil, tankers and monetary systems behind their energy exports weakens Putin and helps to improve President Trump’s view of cooperation with Europe. Therefore, those who choose connections with Russia instead of America go against both of Europe and the US … We sincerely hope that guys from Hungary will listen to these common signals from all of us, ”Zelensky said.
On October 1, European leaders gathered for an informal copenhagen summit to discuss the security, defense and support of Ukraine. The President of the European Council Anthony Raw has announced that the participants of the summit would hold a political discussion to provide the European Commission with instructions on the future roadmap on defense. Thanks to this map, the block expects “specific terms for different opportunities”.

This meeting occurs against the background of NATO in September several times accused of Russia of unprecedented violation of its airspace.
In particular, about 20 drones on the night of September 10 entered the airspace of Poland. Also, on September 13, according to Romania, a Russian drone that attacked Ukraine forces and penetrated Romania’s airspace over 50 minutes before returning to Ukraine.
On September 19, three Russian MiG-31 fighter jets entered the airspace of Estonia over the Gulf of Finnish and stayed there for 12 minutes.
The Russian Defense Ministry stated that the Russian aircraft did not violate the air space of Estonia and that three Russian aircraft had performed a “planned flight” from the Karelia airfield to an indefinite airfield in the Kaliningrad region in accordance with international law.
In NATO, on September 23, Russia was sentenced to violation of Estonia’s airspace, stating that the Russian Federation “bears full responsibility for these actions, which are escalation.”
The Kremlin stated that the threats of NATO countries to knock down Russian aircraft are dangerous and are another significant stress of tension near Russian borders.
